SELECT LEADERSHIP CONTRIBUTIONS

  • Owner, Team Builder and Leader of ground-up AI-in-SDLC and Enterprise Architecture Programs and capabilities. Assembled federated teams of functional EA and AI-in-SDLC SMEs across Business Units. These SME teams created transformational guidelines, tooling selections/standards and training/consulting across the organization.
  • Owner, Architect and Team Builder/Leader of a ground-up Enterprise GenAI Platform Implementation including capabilities such as structured/unstructured batch/streaming data ingestion, extraction, processing, metadata, RAG (Retrieval-augmented generation) and human-in-the-loop content engineering in order to prepare high quality data/intelligence to a downstream suite of enterprise knowledge management end-user applications.
  • Transformed a 6K+ Practices Organization by creating ground-up guidelines, processes and tools across 15 Practice areas. Defined practice Head, Core and SME roles. Recruited, coached and enabled a team of 300+ skilled practice leadership professionals. Created best-practice playbooks and checklists used by SMEs for repeatable and high-fidelity consulting engagements resulting in high customer satisfaction, conversion to delivery projects as-well-as high levels of internal content reusability and knowledge sharing.
  • Created a ground-up Data Governance Practice which established a new service offering and ultimately led to a repeatable stream of ongoing data governance consulting projects.
  • As a CTO/Cofounder, navigated and architected integrations with complex bank/processor debit/credit money movement networks including obtaining certifications required for money transfer licenses. These foundational services capabilities were then leveraged in order to implement end-consumer facing financial service application functionalities such as mobile wallet, person-to-person payments, billpay and pre-paid top-up.
John’s most recent role has been as Head of AI-in-SDLC and Enterprise Architecture within a 600+ Healthcare Supply Chain Development Organization building ground-up Enterprise Architecture Principals/Guidelines as-well-as transformational AI-in-SDLC capabilities including Tool Vetting/Selection, Vibe/Spec-driven Development Models, Conversion of EA Principals into structured Agent Specifications, Quality Engineering and formalizing of Infrastructure (CICD/IaC/SRE/Observability) & Cyber (SAST/DAST/SCA) guidelines into Agent Specifications. Also created community share-out, lessons-learned, self-assessment survey and training programs.
John has served as VP of Technology leading a Practices Organization within a 30K+ engineering services company building professional and effective technology leadership. Created trackable engagement model/tools with business development and delivery organizations which allowed Practice SMEs to be appropriately credited with revenue influence. Created Advisory Playbook and SME Checklists which allowed for repeatable/high-quality advisory processes and deliverables as-well-as high customer satisfaction. Mentored and coached Leadership in 15 technology practice areas to produce high quality content which is used for engagements as-well-as internal/external publishing.
John also served as CTO and Cofounder of a global mobile payments startup which achieved direct integration certifications with Credit, Debit, ACH and Wire processing networks in order to provide realtime money movement via mobile devices. John led technology and platform growth to support scalable production deployments in 6 countries including US, India and Africa.
John held numerous other leadership roles:- Intuit, Chief Architect, Commerce Network where he served as a Chief Architect reporting to the CTO organization and defined/evangelized/enabled Enterprise Architecture best-practices across 20+ business units and functional groups.- Chordiant (bought by Pega), CTO, CRM Platform where he architected/solutioned a workflow driven CRM platform that focused on call-center case management and operations. In this role, John provided in-depth/hands-on support for many business aspects including Sales, Solutioning, Partnerships, Professional Services and M&A.
